J. Thomas Truluck Principal and Vice President JTT@PalmettoCommercial.com Mr. Truluck has spent over twenty-three years successfully working in the commercial real estate industry. Mr. Truluck has been actively involved in the development and management of over 1 million square feet of office and industrial facilities and has sold or leased over 1.3 million square feet of manufacturing and distribution facilities in the Florence and Pee Dee region of South Carolina as well as in South Florida. He has also closed numerous investment property, office, hospitality, and retail sales and lease transactions throughout Florence County and the Pee Dee region and has brokered approximately 1 million acres of undeveloped land. Mr. Truluck joined Palmetto Commercial Real Estate in February, 2004 and serves as the firm’s Vice President and Partner. He spent the previous eight years with Coldwell Banker Commercial Seaboard Properties of Florence where he was a Director, the company’s highest producer for multiple years, and recipient of the company’s “Spirit of Seaboard” award. Mr. Truluck began his commercial real estate career in St. Augustine, Florida with Gran Central Corporation, the real estate development arm of the Florida East Coast Railway Company. Soon afterward, he was promoted and moved to West Palm Beach, Florida where he spent ten years managing the company’s development activities in a five county region. He developed, leased and managed industrial facilities, office/warehouse buildings, and first class business parks on the company’s land holdings. Gran Central Corporation, now called Flagler Development Corporation, is one of Florida’s largest and premiere industrial and office developers. Mr. Truluck is a native of Florence County and is happily married to the former Susan Parker of Olathe, Kansas. They live in a 200 year old farm house on his family’s farm near Olanta, South Carolina. Most of his free time is spent with their four children, ages 6 to 12, and their various activities including football, dance, baseball, choir, church activities and school functions. Tommy is a deacon at Ebenezer Baptist Church, where he is chairman of the welcome team, serves on the building team and sings in the choir and praise team. Tommy also serves on the School Improvement Councils for both J. Paul Truluck Middle School and Scranton Elementary School. Tommy is also a cast member and board member of the Lake City Community Theater. |
